Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Singles Life (currently, the Bill Reminders feature at singles-life.app, with more tools planned). By creating an account, you agree to them.
What the service is
Singles Life sends you reminders — by email and, if you opt in and verify a phone number, by text — for due dates you set up yourself. It's a convenience tool, not a bill-paying or financial service: we never move money, store payment details, or pay anything on your behalf.
Reminders are a courtesy, not a guarantee. Emails and texts can be delayed or fail to arrive for reasons outside our control (carrier issues, spam filtering, a wrong number or address on file, and so on). You're responsible for actually paying your bills on time — please don't rely on Singles Life as your only safeguard against a missed or late payment.
Text message (SMS) program
Text reminders are a fully optional feature. You do not need to opt in to texts to create a Singles Life account, complete signup, or use any part of the service — every reminder is also sent by email, and text is strictly an add-on you can turn on, and back off, whenever you like from your account settings.
If you opt in by entering your phone number, verifying it with the code we text you, and checking "Text me" on a specific bill, here's what to expect:
- Program name: Singles Life Bill Reminders.
- Message types: a phone-verification code when you first add a number, and due-date reminders for the individual bills you've opted in to text alerts for.
- Message frequency: varies by how many bills you've opted in for; typically a few messages per month.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply — check with your carrier.
- Opt out: reply STOP at any time to cancel all texts immediately. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@singles-life.app.
- Carriers: supported carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
See the Privacy Policy for how we handle phone numbers and messaging consent — in short, mobile information and opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Your account
- You need a working email address to sign up, and you're responsible for keeping your password secure.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter — due dates, amounts, and your phone number if you add one.
- One account per person. Don't use Singles Life to manage reminders on someone else's behalf without their knowledge.
Acceptable use
Use Singles Life for its intended purpose — your own personal reminders. Don't try to break, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, and don't use it for anything illegal.
Cost
Core reminders (Bills, and the other tools we're building) are free. If that ever changes for a specific feature, we'll tell you clearly before you're asked to pay anything — no surprise charges.
Ending your account
You can stop using Singles Life and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may also suspend or close an account that violates these terms.
No warranty, limited liability
Singles Life is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we're not liable for late fees, missed payments, or other consequences of a reminder that didn't arrive. Our liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months — which, since the service is currently free, is zero.
Changes
We may update these terms or the service itself as we add features. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
